This little guy caught my eye in the PX (I'm a US Army soldier currently serving in Africa). After playing around with it for 30 seconds or so, I knew I had to have it. Here's a rundown of the features:* 200M Water Resistant * LED Light with Afterglow * World Time - 31 time zones (48 cities + UTC), daylight saving on/off, home city/world time swapping * 5 Alarms (one-time alarm or daily alarm) * Hourly Chime * 1/100 second stopwatch - Measuring capacity: 23:59'59.99" - Measuring modes: Elapsed time, split time, 1st-2nd place times * Countdown Timer - Measuring unit: 1/10 second - Input range: 1 second to 24 hours (1-second increments, 1-minute increments and 1-hour increments) * Auto-calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2099) * 12/24 Hour Formats * Button operation tone on/off *... The time is large in size and can be seen without bringing your arm close to your body. Month and day are shown well, though the Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun font seems different from the rest (and a bit harder to read). Daylight saving time is a plus, and 41 other time zones allow me to check what time it is in other countries before I call to make sure that I won't be disturbing their rest. 5 alarms haven't been too useful, but I'm sure some people can find a use for it (though not for waking up if they are heavy sleepers). Stopwatch and timer work as they should. The mute button is useful when I don't want to disturb a meeting by accidentally pressing a button (which is very difficult since the buttons are placed within the circumference of the watch). Have not yet tested 200 meter water resistance or 10 year battery (only had it for a few days), but I... The buttons are easy to press, and programming is strait forward. I especially like the plastic b and, it works well since the watch is water proof(my last 'water proof' watch came with a leather wrist band that started smelling after a couple years). As pointed out by another reviewer the inside is modeled after a cockpit, it is mostly wasted space since it is to hard to read the little clock and I don't see the practicality of the seconds counter(It counts every ten sec).Having 5 Alarms is really nice, count up(stopwatch) and count down timers are nice, but world time is annoying. You Get to set your home time zone/city and set three shortcut time zones that you can access by pressing the Lower-Right button and you can press the mode button to inter world time mode where you can press through cities. The problem is all the cities are abbreviated by three letters you almost need the book to figure out what they mean. some... Read more |
